  Decorative window grille

Decorative Window Grille

What to do:
1. Measure the window carefully and get a sheet of decorative MDF cut to size.
Alternatively, if you are using an old radiator screen, cut it to fit the dimensions
of the window.

2. Make sure the screen is clean, dry and free of grease, then paint it using MDF
primer and allow to dry. Next apply a coat of oil-based paint. ,ake sure you apply
paint to all the nooks and crannies. Once the first coat of paint is dry, apply
a second coat and allow to dry.

3. Drill a hole in each corner of the screen and screw to the window frame. If you
have a recessed window, you could fasten the screen to the front of the recess,
flush with the walls.

What you need: tape measure, decorative MDF panel or old radiator screen,
saw, MDF primer, paintbrush, oil-based paint, drill, screws, screwdriver.

Estimated time needed:2 hours plus drying
