INGREDIENTS
- 1 1/4 cups mini-marshmallows
- 2 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate
- 3 cups of puffed wheat
- 1 tablespoon of butter
- 1 brownie recipe or box mix
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees, and grease 8 by 8 non-stick baking pan.
You can use any square or rectangle sized pan you have but the depth of the 8 by 8 glass pans work as well just remember to take off some cooking time.
2. Make the brownie mixture. This recipe used a box mix with 1 egg, 1/3 cup oil and 1/3 cup water. Mix with a spoon until combined.
Instead of oil you can use applesauce instead.
Instead a box mix you can make your favourite brownie recipe.
3. Add the brownie mixture to pan and smooth out with a spatula.
4. Put in oven for 30minutes (or as the recipe or box says for your type and size of pan)
5. Take out 2 minutes early and sprinkle 1 cup of mini marshmallows on top of the brownies, then place back in oven for 2 minutes.
6. Remove from oven and using a spatula smooth out marshmallows and leave to cool.
7. While brownies are cooling bring a pot 1/3 full of water to boil over medium high heat.
8. When water is boiling turn down to low heat and place glass bowl on top with chocolate chips, butter and marshmallows. Mix together until both chocolate and marshmallows are completely melted.
9. Remove from heat and add in 3 cups of puffed wheat, mix together until combined.
10. Layer on top of marshmallows using a spatula to smooth out.
11. Leave to cool for 1 hour in the fridge.
12. Taking a square cookie cutter or using a knife cut into squares and then carefully remove from pan.
Eat and enjoy!
